will do, sista!

I'm listening to some DJ Z-trip today. Checkemout!

He mixes a bunch of crazy junk together, like Jay-Z with Janes Addiction, and Nirvana with techno. Give him a shot.

Like I have The Last Waltz Cd but I was watching the movie and notice a bunch of songs they play during the show are not on the cd (Don't Do It, The Weight, etc.) and I really want to get those versions. I mean I want to get it somehow so, I would buy it. Robbie was also Candian

Ya'll might think I'm a little lite in the loafers but I think This album is pretty dang good. Has some nice slide guitar, banjo, fiddle, and mandolin in it.

Freaking rocks! Alot of good memories made with some RHCP in the background. If you dug Blood Sugar Sex Magick, you'll dig this one.

Quote:
A fitting epigraph to this all-over-the-madcap-map compilation might be, "I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by folk music." Ringleaders Peter Stampfel and Steve Weber knew their ethnomusicology but preferred deconstructing and discombobulating the old-time tunes their folknik peers handled with cowering reverence. Swiping tracks from the Rounders mid-'70s psychedelic string-band romps, and off-and-on Rounder Michael Hurley's solo records, this set gets to the heart of the group's Frank Zappa-meets-Uncle Dave Macon aesthetic, and rarely grows tedious, because, amazingly, these zany guys can play. Hurley's exquisitely melodic "Sweet Lucy" is included, as are the evil string-band genius of "Random Canyon," the hilarious barrelhouse stomp of "Synergy," and the stoned-as-bats country of "Robbin' Banks." Folk music never sounded so fun.

thinking about buying these:

GET THIS!!!!

GREAT compilation with very, very extensive booklet that's worth the price on its own.

"But what I'm listening to most of the time at present is an album called Good For What Ails You, which is an album of songs that people used to listen to at medicine shows all over the States. It's quite an interesting album and I think that people would be well advised to pick it up." Jack White

Album Review
This isn't one of those posthumous sets of outtakes and demos that cash-hungry labels tend to throw together. Personal File was actually compiled from reels of tape stored inside boxes marked "Personal File." Johnny Cash's son bestowed these boxes to Legacy, which meticulously compiled this stunning and beautiful double disc of songs that the Man in Black held dear to his heart. Hearing Cash discuss and perform them is as close as you could hope to having his ghost show up in your living room for a private concert.

- Eric Shea

Also, there is no reason to quote a post that is previous to your post, if it's a long review or something and want to quote excerpts, that is cool but lets try not to abuse the quote feature, just qoute posts that anything but the 1st previous post.
