Anybody know anything about this?!? Tower Records Nashville
I have a buddy who ran into Kevin in a liquor store here in Nashville over the weekend. Kevin told him that they were planning a midnight performance at Tower Records on West End, in Nashville, for the release of the new album. Any feedback on this potential show would rock.
This sounds like a fun show! |

I may have to trek up from ATL to Nashville for this one...
Leave work in ATL at 6:00pm.
Be in Nashville at 9:00pm (1 hr time change).
Get some bbq at that place downtown.
Listen to OCMS at 12:00 and get cd.
Leave Nashvegas at 3:00.
Arrive back in ATL just in time for work at 8:00am.
Just what any reasonable person would do.
Plus, I wanted to get the cd from the boys, and I'd have to wait until October when they are in ATL for that. |

With my grandiose plans, I wish I could come. But, my darn manager scheduled a meeting from 6:00-8:00 that night after a day of training. Fun stuff!!! Maybe Tower Records in Atlanta will be releasing at 12:00 midnight, though, so that will keep me going... |

I might be making the track down from Indiana. I've got the directions, but can some of you Nashvillians provide some answers in regards to where to park at??? |

No... no I can't. No joke! Parking down there SUCKS! Just make sure you park legally down there because they'll be sure an tow you.
If anyone is interested, me and a few of my friends are gonna grab some Rotier's at about 9:30 or 9:45. |

So what kind of turn out do you anticipate Rodge??? And in regards to the parking, are you suggesting that I just park along the street and to make sure that my meter is full?? |

Man, I don't know... It seems like alot of people in Nashville know about it. I have had many acquantances that only know about OCMS through me and they keep contacting me saying "Hey! Did you know they are playing a free show?!"
... so I anticipate alot o people there. I never been to a in store performance there. It's an average sized Tower records.. no real open spot for a ton of people though. So I don't know if they turn people away or whatnot. I do know its supposed to rain tonight as it is right now... so that will keep a few people at home.
Thats why I'm getting to Rotier's 2 hours before the show. Stake out the joint and go grab a burger.
Also, if I was a betting man... they'll probably just fire through performing the album track by track live then sign some autographs, but who knows? I did also hear that it's supposed to be a "rated R" performance... didnt read it myself so I dont know what that means. I would guess that Panty Raid is going to be there doing a Burlesque "shake that thang"! |

So is that hamburger place on the same street as Tower or what?? I might try and catch up with you there if I decide to go. It's getting close to time to leave, but I am still trying to find someone to go with me. 3+ hours is kind of a long drive by yourself. |

Its on the same street as Tower Records' backdoor.
go out the back of Tower Records, go left, walk about 200 ft down the sidewalk and see the red neon sign that says "Rotier's" on it. It closes at 10:30 CST.
See ya there, homie. |

Are you going to the Louisville show? That may be a little more bang for your buck (free, same as this one ). It's closer and I'd say more people can attend. I would hate for you to drive all that way and get turned away, bro.
At least call em and see what they say about capacity before you make the miles, ya know?

Yes, I am going to be at the Louisville show on Wednesday. I am also a Scott Miller fan so that is even better. Anyways, I had already called Tower and the guy that was on the phone, could'nt tell me much of anything. Tonight is a once in a blue moon kind of thing. Getting to spend the evening with the Crow minutes before the new album drops. Plus I have never gotten to meet them and it looks like tonight might be my chance. |

I am soooo pissed right now. It is currently 10:35 PM here in Southern Indiana, and I set out on my journey around 7:30 PM. With the time differnce and a roughly 3+ hour drive, this would have put me in Nashville around 9:30 PM (Nashville Time). So I head out, get through one spell of traffic relating to road construction, just outside of Louisville, then about 3/4 of the way through Kentucky, I hit stand still traffic. Spend the next 45 minutes in traffic, moving about 1/2 a mile before high way crews arrived and shut down I65 S all together. Traffic was then re-routed back to I65 N and by the time this was all said and done, I still had over 2 hours of driving time ahead of me before even making it to Nashville. This would have put me too close to showtime, and the employee from Tower all ready told me that they anticipated a large turnout and to get there no later then 10:00 PM to secure my spot. So needless to say I pretty much pissed my night away. Right now as I type I should have already been settled in at Tower and secured my spot for the show. I am so bummed. I was so looking forward to meeting the guys tonight more then anything. Three Old Crow shows and still haven't had the opportunity to meet them. The only thing that is keeping me from throwing myself off a bridge at this point is the Louisville show on Wednesday . Hopefully I will get the chance to chat with the guys then. Anyone else had any luck finding the guys after shows??? Heading off to Wal-Mart at midnight. Hopefully they will have a copy of BIW. |
