Shack #9 - make any corrections necessary

[A]oh they grow it by the pound in johnson county

well they grow it by the pound in johnson [E] county

well they [A] grow it by the pound and their [D] breath will knock you down

yes they [A] grow it by the [E] pound in johnson [A] county

oh take me back to my shack #9
take me back to my shack #9
there's a dog on my track and a ford in my shack
take me back to my shack #9

all the men they chew tobacco in johnson county
well all the men they chew tobacco in johnson county
well itll drip right down their chin and theyll lick it up again
and theyll lick it up again in johnson county

oh take me back to my shack #9
take me back to my shack #9
there's a dog on my track and a ford in my shack
take me back to my shack #9

all the women will dip snuff in johnson county
all the women will dip snuff in johnson county
all the women will dip snuff but theyll never get enough
all the women will dip snuff in johnson county

take me back to my shack #9
take me back to my shack #9
there's a dog on my track and a ford in my shack
take me back to my shack #9

the lyrics are actually "a cord in my shack"
a cord is a unit of volume used to measure firewood or, among other things, tobacco

all right, I think i'm chiming in for rodge, here...
I also think it's quart. as in a quart (pronounced in this part of the south as kort, not kwart) of corn squeezins...
tobacco is not measured in cords, although wood is...
tobacco is measured in pounds, hundredweights, or in the old, old days in hogsheads.
also, I doubt a cord of wood would fit inside your shack. wood is stacked in cords as a unit of measure for sale. you seldom would see wood stacked in this manner, rather in large, pyramid shaped stacks. in the old days, without tarps, this method kept the interior of the pile dry.
just my thoughts on the subject.

Thanks, fox, for throwing out that definitive, yet diplomatic answer.
also, btw... in the pre-song banter -
Down in tobacco country we never "picked" tobacco, rather, we "pulled" it. I once visited a tobacco farm in Ontario (yes, in Canada) - they "pulled" it there as well. Pulling time does often begin at "the tail-end of August", depending on the season's weather. Rain, cool days vs. warm days, etc. all make it vary per year. Anyhow, "shack" is a great tune, and greatly appreciated by one who grew up amongst the rows of green, sticky, hornworm-infested goodness.
Note the lump in pittsyltucky's cheek there to the left. That's no case of the mumps - it's a big ol' wad of terbacky. "well it'll drip right down their chin and they'll lick it up again..."

"Never go home without it!"

Pizz. is the abbreviation for pizzicato which just means the strings are plucked (this will be done with the left hand). Lots of variations on the fiddle for this one, I just tabbed out the first fiddle break.
