Don't know if y'all knew about this, but I figured I'd mention it, as Matt Rue was a hellova songwriter.

The album is called Let Some Sun Shine Through, a tribute to Matt. OCMS covers "Ridin' on a Dream." They have a little clip on the website.

(PS All you Asheville folks can check out Skintback City Public Radio doing that one at one of the fine establishments there)

OCMS and the Lazybirds go waaaaay back! They used to do shows together back in their Boone, NC days ... so I've heard.

"Where in the hell do you find this stuff?!?"

I know about it solely because my buddies in Skintback play a bunch of Rue tunes...their guitarist was involved in producing this album in some way, and he told me about it. I didn't stalk or hunt this one out. Shocked

An yeah, rodge, there are some pretty funny stories about OCMS and the Lazybirds floating around Boone.

Just going through some old threads. This song is new to me! I've been doing some google hunting but haven't come up with anything for OCMS' "Ridin' on a dream". Anyone that can point me in the right direction?

Also, just learning about The Lazybirds and Old Crow's history with them. Anyone that can recommend a good starting point for getting into them?
