Yeah, I've never heard them be preachy as far as banter in between songs (but Willie singing "God's Got It" would make anyone find some religion )
I got to thinking while reading the political thread about what the boys' views are. I have my own ideas, but they really are fairly ambiguous about it and you could pull any political viewpoint from their repetoire:
Liberal: "I Hear Them All", "We're All In This Together", "Union Maid", "Bad Fucking Signs" (?)
Libertarian: "Let Em Alone" (could easily be co-opted as a Libertarian theme song), Alabama High Test, Cocaine Habit Blues (?)
Conservative: "God's Got It", "Drinking of the Wine", can't think of any originals to put here
I dunno, was just something I got to thinking about. Feel free to add. |

libertarian = true conservative.
I prefer to identify myself as a states' rights guy. local politics is where it's at. |

I view libertarians as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I can definitely identify with libertarians as the main turn-off for me to conservatives is social conservatism. |
