Hello all...

I found this forum about two weeks ago or so, and when I got the email tonight about Tennessee Pusher bring released, I wanted to join this forum and keep up with all the gossip and news. I'm looking forward to saying hi to all of you.

I was a casual fan of the band until I saw them in concert in Ames, IA, a year ago last March, and it's all been downhill from there. Second row at a show like that changes your outlook on life.

Let's just say that my family isn't allowed in Georgia with matches after the last time we were there. Wink

I'm just a corn fed farm boy, and that fella in the avatar is just planting it the old fashioned way.

No pictures of the show, but they led off with Bobcat Tracks and the encore was Union Maid. My nicotine-addled brain can't remember a specific order beyond that.

I'm a cornfed farmGIRL! Man, I wanted to go to the Ames show so bad..wasn't it a tiny venue? All the better for seein' the boys...I went to the Iowa City one instead...are you going to the Chicago show in Oct????

The Ames show was a blast. Fisher Theater holds a couple of hundred people, so it wasn't the smallest venue on campus, but it's nowhere near the biggest. Penelippy, I guess it would be similiar to the Adler in Davenport, although a little smaller. We've got a place on campus called the M-Shop which is much smaller, and if the energy gets better at smaller venues, they would have blown the building up playing there.

I wish I was able to go to the Chicago show, but finances and the seven hour drive make it a little impractical for me. I'm holding out hope that when the rest of the tour schedule gets released they come a little closer to central Iowa.

The Adler, huh? Well if they come to Iowa, I'll be there too!
