Willie sent us his archive or their setlists. He has 2005-present... there are some gaps and definitely some huge gaps before 2005.
Pittsyltucky is going through the list and comparing it to fan submitted setlists from posts here. I plan on talking to some of my programmer buddies to see if they will program us a dynamic setlist archive. We have some great things in the works, folks!

| This should be fascinating. I've always assumed that the boys just improvised as they went along during a tour. And perhaps they do. But keeping setlists would indicate, to me at least, that there's always a kind of logic behind what the band does. (You know, I wonder why I would ever assume otherwise?) |

| Some folks have posted pictures of the setlists that were written out, and I have also seen them refer to a list on stage. But ya, this will be pretty darn kewl to see and remember old shows. On the old fan site, there was also a set list page... has that ever been moved or linked to the current site? |

| Kitty, I've seen the photos of setlists, too. The boys are happy to pass them out as souvenirs it seems to me. Someone's been keeping track in addition and it just makes me wonder what a band talks about before they hit the stage. When you think about it, Old Crow has a repertoire of a hundred-plus songs. Or am I just exaggerating? (Boy, I had to look up the spelling of three words just to get this message written!) |

I was just wondering about this. What format is Willie's archive in? Paper? Or something where you could share out the work of comparing and so on? |

| Actually it's not that much -- i'll eventually add willie's lists to shows that don't have lists yet from '07, but looks like willie got lists for previous stuff from the board here -- a couple of his '06 lists are exactly as I/others posted... |

this format is pretty killer! if you notice the shows from the early years (some of the setlists are missing or incomplete) then as the band got more and more popular (just like the crows) the setlists get stronger and stronger.

there's some great titles in the first few shows. I especially like
Tim Reynolds' Tape, Dave's Mom's basement, Charlottesville, VA
and
Between the train station and the red light district, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

yeah its hard for ppl to remember the early gigs!
in the phish documentary "bittersweet motel" they ask fishman what their first gig was and he was debating between two shows. when you play for 15 years or more im sure "most" of it becomes a blur.
but it is funny to read thru some of dmb's early gigs and see where/what they played. |
