"Down among the mountain laurel I'm a gonna meetcha"?
I think they're in the same family as rhododendron... |

Jumpin' Bean came down for a few days this weekend. I found it funny that my mom was like "where the two of you heading off to now!". This was actually a non Crow/Felice Bro trip...... or so we thought.
Friday night, Gravy Boys on the lawn of the Carolina Inn. We laughed heartily when the folks behind started yelling "Wagon Wheel". And sure enough - the show closer.
Then, Saturday night we caught the Whiskey Smugglers at a little cafe. They were billed as something along the lines of "The next Old Crow Medicine Show/ Hackensaw Boys to come out of the piedmont of North Carolina".
This was the ONLY similarity, and their sound check song.

The show did improve slightly - - but the original reviewer, from a local radio station, must have been on crack. |

It's a total photoshop job... From what I understand it was originally Michael Jackson dressed as Santa. |

I don't care if it's real. That is one disturbingly awesome picture. Thanks, Rodge.
That is also the most comments I've ever seen on a flickr page. |
