BID HERE
Hey all! I received an autographed guitar from The Big Surprise Tour. It was autographed by all of the musicians for us to auction off to raise money for my handicap son, Zachary. We are trying to save money for a wheelchair ramp van. We are having a benefit next weekend, Sunday September 20th in Tega Cay, SC called Rock-n-Roll for Zachary. Its an all day event with 13 bands, raffles, silent auctions, kids games/prizes and activities and takes places at 2 different bars...a bar crawl! I was going to list the guitar as one of the silent auction items but I am unsure what to even ask for it. The guitar itself is only worth about $100, its a Yamaha SJ-180 with hard case. The guitar is autographed by Old Crow, The Felice Brothers, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings Justin Townes Earle with Cory Younts and special guest Benmont Tench. Along with the signatures it also says The Zachary R. Beachley Special 8/13/09.
I have uploaded pictures of the guitar on my son's website but it wouldn't let me post the link since I'm new. Please send me a PM and I will share with you the link to the pics.
Please take a look at it and let me know what you think I should put as the starting bid on the guitar. Also, if you are interested in the guitar, please email me.
Also, if you are in the Charlotte, NC or Fort Mill, SC area, please come out to the benefit Rock n Roll for Zachary on Sun, Sept 20th at Steve's Bar & Grille and McHale's on Gold Hill Road, Tega Cay, SC. Email me for more info.
Thanks a bunch!
Nikki

IT IS HARD TO SAY HOW MUCH IT COULD GO FOR IN AUCTION. JUST DEPENDS ON WHO IS THERE AND HOW BAD THEY WANT IT
GOOD LUCK!! |

Very smart! Thinking outside the box....I like that!
p.s. I'm wondering if I should list on ebay with a 5 day auction before the benefit. Maybe get more money for it on ebay? |

I heard about his through the Felice Brothers forum at FrankiesGun
I posted this auction on my Justin Townes Earle blog. Unfortunately, I can't post a link to it, but it's at halfwaytojackson dot blogspot dot com
Best of luck! Hope you get as much cash out of it as you can! |

Same here..... I found a friend's stray cat a home that way... so maybe it will help find the guitar a new home and help Zach! |

Makes for a small world, huh? Glad you're getting a lot of exposure about the auction, though- that'll definitely make it sell! |

The guy who runs takethisbread.blogpsot.com won it, for $510.00, and then paid for it, but told Zachary's Mom to keep the guitar and re-acution it. Very selfless act if you ask me. |
