I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this in, but I am besides myself that I have found 2 of the NYE posters, unautographed, thank God, in sale on eBay already. The cheaper of the 2 is $75. The other is on auction with the current bid if $40 reserve not met! I think this is retarded and u wanna give these sellers a piece of my mind. Awwwhhh. These ppl aren't crow fans. They are greedy pieces of garbage.

I agree with you a bit there. What can you do though? They buy 'em just like we do, but with an eye for commerce... Very Happy I put 'em in the same boat as scalpers.

Now them SORRY SUMABEECH TREES have an autographed poster on there for sale! I feel they are below scalpers. They are betraying OCMS fans everywhere. Man how I'd like to bunch into these ppl in a dark alley. That's all I'm saying!

I briefly realized that I could have sold my ticket for a hell of a lot more than I bought it for. Then I would have lots of money. Do you know what I like to spend money on? Trips to see Old Crow. Very Happy Therefore, I was set.

What I mean to say is, who goes to a show for the express purpose of scalping a poster?

I understand what u are saying Lucy. But you have to kinda see where I'm coming from. I just think those posters outta be enjoyed by people who were at the show. It us a free country, founded on free commerce. But it just hits a sore spot inside me. I apologize if I have offended anyone. I will contain my personal feelings on this topic from now on. I truly am Sry. I do not wanna offend any of the true fans here on this fan site. Apologies!

Woah, woah, fellow. I was more or less agreeing. I mean, I'm not as burnt up, but I see how it's annoying. Plus, as I said, if you're going to pay money to see the band, why buy a poster just to scalp it?

We're lucky that Old Crow is what we spend money on, not how we make our money. Very Happy

Lucy, if I offended you, my deepest apologies. I think I misunderstood your earlier post. I however will stand by my earlier statement and keep by big blabbering trap shut. Lol. This is a place to enjoy and share, not rant. I promise I will keep this in mind whenever I post in the future. Like Mamaw always said," If ya ain't got nuttin good to say, keep ya mouff shut." Lol. All smiles here, and I hope the same to u all throughout the coming year.

Rantin' & ravin' has made this place interesting a time or two... Very Happy

Besides, if sellin' posters is what you wanna get fired up about, have at it!
You may be pissed at me one of these years if these prices keep goin' up. Was that Gvillebrowny that found the Big Suprise poster goin' for 250 bucks? Just a little over a year after the show?!? Shocked Ten years down the road that could make a couple of house payments... Laughing

Well - - I do have to admit that when I found out that Critter had signed these posters, I told Mr Kitty that he can invest in gold and I will invest in signed OCMS memorabilia!! I do see it as an investment.... but not for years and years and years down the line.... either to be handed down to children or sold to pay another month in the old folks home!

I completely understand about taking something, poster, cd, setlist, anything like that and selling it. If you are in a hard spot finacially, you should turn a profitt, especially when its a hard to come by or very limited supply item. Yhe problem I have is these people are buying them, going home and putting it on ebay immediately. I dont wanna sound like a dirtbag. Thats all...lol Heck I got 1 of the Big Surprise tour posters and I dont know if I could turn down $250. I just think The New Years posters are special. I have 1 from last year..... maybe OCMS will continue to do NYE at The Ryman and I can keep on buying one every year, and when I'm down and out one day I can make a bundle package...lol.
