Oh, cool! Thanks for the link Stu.
Yes, his pictures are great! I love the ones he took when OCMS were over here last time, like the one with Ketch in the phone booth in Edinburgh.
And he said on his Facebook a while ago that he'll be touring "Europe" later on this year. Hmmm, now a Gill solo show would be fab....I'll definitely be keeping an eye on that site! |

Nope, I've just checked again and he actually said this:
<< I'll be tramping around Europe in early October looking for adventure and floors to sleep on.>>
Sooo, of course I don't know if that's continental Europe, or if he'll be paying us a visit too...here's hoping!! Maybe we should offer him floorspace so he'll come over... |

I wonder if blackberry picking in autumnal Ireland counts as adventure |

I think it does. No. I know it does. I have never been blackberry picking in autumnal Ireland, but I have walked some country roads in mid-August and I found that to be a pleasant adventure. Makes me think blackberry picking would be the same. A bit of A Pooh-Piglet type of adventure, but adventure nonetheless.
A little bird... a woodpecker I think, or maybe it was a whippoorwill... once told me that Gill was working on a book of photographs and writings. And if my memory is correct, I think Gill posted the same on a blog somewhere. |

Woodpecker is fine, as long as it's not a peckerwood. |

It totally counts, Stu!!
A book of photographs and writing by Gill sounds good. I hope he'll get to do that! |

Gill has posted some great pictures of his European travels on his Facebook page:
Ketch in Glasgow:
Kevin in Paris:
the infamous caravan jam session:
He's also somehow made it to Staufen, Switzerland...soo close to where I'm from...
And a nice one of JPJ and Ketch:
And loads more of sights and buildings all over Europe. |

Tell 'em, kg. Those kids don't want to know what us old farts are doing.
The doctors are all hot to trot about giving me a colonoscopy,
something for you kids to look forward to. |

I don't think that colonoscopies are a frequent enough occurrence to be the only thing to report...Even for you ancient sorts. If lbrod and kg are interesting on here, what would make them suddenly dull on the facebook?
To be fair, my father quit using facebook, even at the risk of not promoting his travel blog, because he didn't understand how it worked...Funny how the easier the internet gets, the more confusing it is to people who are as old as the internet (when was ARPANET? Can't be too much older than dear old dad...) |

Internet? I remember taking a field trip to the college to see a computer.
It filled a wall in a decent sized room and could play tic tac toe.
I was in high school. In college we had to sign up ahead of time to get computer access.
We used them to calculate standard deviations. This was a big deal.
Kg, there is a big difference between a finger and a contraption. |
