Sorry that I didn't check to see if it actually posted, when the A.I. tells me it couldn't do it, I believe it! Very Happy

But yes, I am still getting the error.

Our web host sent me this email about this... don't know exactly what it means but,

"Dear Roger,

On 23rd July 2011, you received an e-mail from us informing you that we are disabling PHPMail on our Linux Shared/Reseller Hosting servers. Due to a bug in our billing system, this e-mail was sent out to all our active customers, rather than just active Shared/Reseller Hosting customers. We sincerely apologise if this caused any alarm to any customer.

Customers on a VPS, Cloud VM or Dedicated Server don't need to make the changes mentioned. However, we do still strongly encourage such customers to make those changes in their own time, as it will inevitably lead to a much more secure environment.

After listening to feedback from our Shared Hosting customers, we have extended the deadline for the switch over until 08/08/2011. We have also provisioned a new Shared Hosting server for customers to migrate to if they are not able to make the changes in their scripts. We would strongly advise you to only opt for this as a last resort, as you would essentially be hosted along side other customers using PHPMail. This would mean that this server is much more likely to find itself on a spam blacklist compared to our normal Shared Hosting servers.

To those wishing to make the changes, the below forum posts should further help you in explaining how to make these changes:-

some link, took it down so hacker bots cant get it.

To reiterate again, only customers on our Linux Shared/Reseller Hosting platform will either need to change their scripts to use authenticated mail by 08/08/2011. If they are not able to make the changes, a migration to a server where it is still enabled is available. We have already provided all clients with a sample form which is available for download at another missing link I took out.

The zip file at the above URL contains the following Sample code and Class files along with integration instructions

contact.php
contact.html
class.phpmailer.php
class.smtp.php
README.doc

Other customers can contact us in the next couple of weeks/months to have PHPMail disabled on their servers. This will ensure their server is safe and to avoid potential problems related to a spam listing.

I think it's saying that you won't get an email from the forum saying someone posted in the topic anymore... unless I set it up a new way. I'll look into it.

My sister turned 40 today. My parents took us out to a super fancy restaurant in Milwaukee. They had an upscale version of State Fair Fare. My sister ordered the 4 course meal. It had a duck corn dog as the appetizer. She let me taste it. It was good. My first thought was... now this might be a corn dog that kg would be willing to eat.

Yeah, it seems like everything went bonkers after KG told us he never had a corndog.

Tell the truth, bean. You just mentioned the duck corn dog so you can say your sister is 40, right? The number doesn't seem important, but it's the first thing you wrote.

It is important. If it weren't for that being the number attached to the birthday, we would never have been in that restaurant.

i think the debug issue has been fixed. haven't tried a smiley yet. I'n like kg in that respect, I have never used one. I have however had my fair share of corndogs. Even worked in one of those corndog satands in the mall for a short amount of time in the early 90's.

edit:
I take that back. the debug is not fixed.

Sometimes it posts clean, but usually the error msg.
I expect the error, so occasionally I get a pleasant surprise.
