Hey folks!
So having been an audience member for the 2nd show of the Railroad Revival Tour I figured some of you here would be interested in the following announcement:
Quote:
New Look, New Site Next Week, New Tour Info Soon!

Looks like a new tour is in the horizon, and we should hear more info next week!
As a train enthusiast, I'm very excited to hear the news about this, whether or not Old Crow is involved.
For those of you who happened to catch this tour as well, it was a very special experience.
I went to the show in San Pedro and I'll never forget the experience I had: I drove up to San Pedro with 3 friends and we got caught up in the firestorm that was the massive traffic this concert created on that crazy night. We got a late start up there and we hit terrible traffic trying to find parking that night. At about 6 or so that night (my memory is a bit hazy) we got stopped by a train whilst trying to find parking. We were dead stopped at a light and looked to our left and what did we see? That 'ol rail car trying to reach its destination. My buddies and I were blasting "Union Maid" over the car stereo and we look over and who's got their heads peaked out over their window but Willie, Ketch and Marcus Mumford playing along while we're sitting there dancing outside of our car, and they are playing along with us!
The concert was something else, but nothing compared to that very personal experience!
Anyway, just thought I'd share the news of another one of these trips.
If anyone has any sort of inside information then please share it here! I'm very much looking forward to seeing what's to come of the 2nd annual (?!) RRT.
Train on!

All three bands have new albums coming out this Summer.

Heard this one is going to be Eastern Seaboard way. Alls I know, it better not be the last week in June. I'm making my maiden voyage out West that week. I don't want to miss that train this time!

Here I go busting bubbles again... Sorry folks, but none of the previous three bands will be on the Railroad Revival 2012 Tour.

I hear there's a possibility of the Avett Brothers being one of the new three.

I always assumed the idea of a Railroad Revival Tour came from Old Crow. (More specifically Ketch.)

Hmmm....none of the 3?
Other than the Avett Bros. I can't think of many other bands that would fit the mold for this type of tour and yet also be marketable enough to sell out 5,000+ capacity venues.

I'm pretty sure it was Alex from Edward Sharp that began the dreaming process...
