I couldn't find a specific thread for them so ...

There's a great interview with Sam Parton in No Depression. An Angel Whispered in My Left Ear.

It's actually very settling to be reminded that they were treeplanters who sang at coffee shops and open mics and got caught up in the whirlwind. I'd often wondered what happened.

The band are playing a few gigs over the summer and Nettwerk are releasing a vinyl Blue Horse with extra tracks.

I love the Be Good Tanyas - you had my hopes up then that they might be on their way to the UK. The last time they played here, I missed out on tickets for the London show.

Frazey Ford's recent solo album from last year, Obadiah, is well worth a listen - especially her cover of Dylan's "One More Cup of Coffee".

UK gigs would be great - (i recall missing that tour, Katie), but it sounds like these are very tentative testing of the waters gigs so i'm not holding my breath.

I'll give Frazey's album another go - it was more modern than i was ready for last time i heard it.

Yahoo! They are finally making it back to London and I have front row tickets!

They are playing at the Barbican Theatre on 3 Feb and I happened to be in the theatre at the moment the tickets went on sale. How cool is that?

It's the night before OCMS play in London which should be interesting .....
