Great show! Willie held the crowd in the palm of his hand while played them Old Time tunes.

Had a great time hanging out with Chigger and his lady before and after the show. Always a pleasure!

Wow, we just got photobombed or something...

Yes, it was a good time, and Rodge is spot-on in the setlist. Good thing, because I had 'em all written down, but my titles were off on at least 3 of the tunes! Ah well.

Willie was pretty masterful in his playing, as usual, but the vibe was a bit melancholy. I could definitely detect an air of sadness in the set. There were some jagoffs in the crowd hollerin' "play some Old Crow" between songs, too. Adressing this, he introduced Ways of Man by saying "Here's one I used to sing." Sad

In addition to Rodge's setlist, I noted which song were played on guitar & banjo:

How You Want It Done
Golden Slippers *Banjo
Next Go Round
You Angel You
Rock Salt and Nails
High Dice
Nothing Is Wrong With You *Banjo
Birmingham Mills *Banjo
Ways of Man
Dry Bones *Banjo

As for wardrobe, Willie has busted out the Neil Young tee that he wore the whole '09 tour... Very Happy

It was great gettin' to hang out with El Rodgo & his lovely lady. It's crazy, the weather was nice enough to hang out and eat up on the roof of the Pickle Barrel. At night, in the middle of November!

Here are a couple of snapshots-

Ain't been a lot of exciting news lately. Deserved a "Baaam!"

You can always hear the hurt in Willie's voice. That said, I'd love to hear a Willie solo guitar version of Ain't It Enough.
