Nice to see a few surprises thrown in the mix. Hope they keep that trend going for NYE!

I have to say..... Chance brought it on Saturday night. I was really disappointed with his performance in Madison on Thursday... but he must have been sick is all I can guess. He didn't even look well - - but Saturday night... HUGE Difference!!! Not saying he is a replacement for Willie, that will never happen. But the depth of the harmonies and those higher notes are there, just wish he would belt them out a bit more. He sounded really good, and the tone of his voice in those higher registers is pleasing to my ears. He is really finding is place in the band... and I liked the suspenders Smile Even some banter back and forth. Thursday's show made me wonder about NYE..... Saturday made me VERY excited for NYE! Now if Critter would just play the accordion on more songs than just Union Maid!

And I was actually really happy not to hear Meth. That song has been wearing on me lately.

The crowd here was a bit rough. We headed to the floor and a good place in front of Critter about the 2nd-3rd person back. I was teasing Bean that we seemed to be on the line between insanity and sanity.... to our immediate left on the floor was drunken chaos. Immediately to our right were calm folks listening to the music and dancing a bit. It was a loud and rowdy crowd - - but not the worse I have been in. I just think the cans of PBR were too cheep! Thanks again, Bean, for hosting and driving. Great trip all around!
