| Just the other day I was splittin' up some red oak for stovewood that had been laying on the ground for about 3 years. The outside had gotten a bit rotten, and I saw the foxfire glowing that night from 30 yards away! Went down there to check it out, and almost every piece I had stacked was shinin' like a chem stick. Neat stuff. |

That's cool. I've never seen it myself. Only used the wood stove once this season, and I'm not crazy about the unseasonably warm weather. I'm crossing my fingers for a white Christmas this year. Then it can warm up for good busking conditions NYE.  |
