well go ahead and turn your CC on. and its also available on blu ray. its hard (for me) to see any real political motivation for this movie, which leaves me thinkin that there is much i dont know. from some reviews i've read, other people (some military) have no problem making a political jab here and there with a criticism but i still dont think it was the intent of the movie. i would find it hard to be critical of them in any way at this point. its over. its 90 minutes out of a year. they are kids. i'll just be standin over hear salutin and feelin small, watchin anything like this that makes me appreciate what some people do and have done, and what i have never had to do.

^ added to my instant que.

I saw thisn the other week and man, I love space exploration. "For All Mankind" really made me grasp that we actually have walked on the moon... with far less technology than my microwave has in it today. It's pretty wild to think if you were those guys up there. Great flick! Watch HERE

RESTREPO was pretty good.

I thought the officer was more than kind of douchey. If this guy is representative of the majority of our captains and lieutenants in the field, then we are in trouble for sure. Who the hell goes into the enemy's country without researching anything? "I wanted to have an open mind going in..."??? Not good. Read some history. Learn something about these people so that you can deal with them in terms they understand. The "cow incident" is a perfect example of dealing with the population in the wrong way.
Had I been in that platoon, you'd have seen me pretty much inserted in that black sergeant's behind. Guys like that are the backbone, man - and they get you back home alive.

I've been meaning to watch that for a while now. It's completely mind boggling to think of indeed... It's hilarious that space travel feels retro. I can almost understand the nuts who think we didn't walk on the moon, simply because it's so impressive, especially considering the technology.

Transworld - And Now

Rickie Jackson's part is really great. Similar creativity to Rodney Mullen, but Rodney still towers above Richie

Great find! Seriously, that song is one of the best ever. There is a Gillian bootleg album called Live&Obscure floating around the interwebs. This gem is on it.

Life In A Day
Watch it HERE for free.

Director Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) and producer Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator) team up to offer this candid snapshot of a single day on planet Earth. Compiled from over 80,000 YouTube submissions by contributors in 192 countries, Life in a Day presents a microcosmic view of our daily experiences as a global society. From the mundane to the profound, everything has its place as we spend 90 minutes gaining greater insight into the lives of people who may be more like us than we ever suspected, despite the fact that we're separated by incredible distances.

Make sure to full screen and put it in HD. It's on Netflix too

^ Yep, can't help but watch the Turtleman. It's like an awesomely awkward train wreck.

LIVE ACTION!

Wow I've never seen Metropolis, but I've heard about it. I fast forwarded through it some. The ending set to the title track is creepy!

The first time through the album matches up really freakishly well.

I always have tried to watch Metropolis the whole way through but never could until now. It was excellent.
