Me, my Pa and my Grandpap
Were the first white men to the Cumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
The first white men to the Cumberland Gap
Well me, my Pa and my Grandpap
Gonna get the * at the Cumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Gonna get the * at the Cumberland Gap
Don’t touch my liquor till I get back
I like to drink that liquor in the Cumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Drink white liquor at the Cumberland Gap
I ain’t got no money, did you think about that ??
It’s fifteen miles from the Cumberland gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Fifteen miles from the Cumberland Gap

Old one the boys used to play. I'm not sure about some of the lyrics for this one, anyone that can help me out? |

It's quite different to Wawa, isn't it. |

Sometimes I try to fiddle this and it just turns into me failing at "Carry Me Back." |

Those fiddle parts are confoundingly similar. I usually end up playing an awkward blend of the two. |

Thanks for those, whistle. Great stuff. Yeah I'd be interested in the whole show. I lost most of the shows I had in a lightning hit, and could do with some of these earlier shows. Here's my take on the lyrics to Cumberland Gap. Milwaukee Blues is great. Is that Kinman doing the the deep 'hands of god' d'you think? We're playing this one occaisionally - fun tune.
Well, Me, my Pa and my Grandpap
Were the first white men to the Cumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
The first white men to the Cumberland Gap
Well me, my Pa and my Grandpap
Gonna get the buzz in the Mumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Gonna get the vote/boat in the Cumberland Gap
^^I think Ketch didn't mean to repeat the first line and then got lost trying to make something up. Happens to me most every gig at some point
Don’t touch my liquor till I get back
I like to drink that liquor in the Cumberland Gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Drink white liquor at the Cumberland Gap
I ain’t got no one, did you think about that
It’s fifteen miles from the Cumberland gap
Cumberland Gap, Cumberland Gap
Fifteen miles from the Cumberland Gap |
