This is pretty awesome, but wonder what does it mean?? Will they be performing at the Opry on a regular basis? Will this dictate more of what their future albums will be like? It is just a huge honor and their pocture will hang in the halls? Will the NYE show be moved to Opryland? WIll there BE a NYE show??
I am also a bit befuddled by Chance's girly braids in the top pic in both articles. Then I realize how off that second article is as the announcement didn't take place at the Opry, but in Ohio (as stated in the OCMS FB post and the Opry news release).
I am also curious if it is an old pic at the Opry mic is featured in the pic??
And lastly.... How awesome would that have been if it was REALLY a surprise for them. Um hey Marty... Whatcha doing here backstage? Well boys, I have something to tell you tonight.... Let's do it at the encore. |

Chance will be okay with them in. There's another Opry Member who rocks them:

Yay for the boys, but I share Kitty's concern about them getting Nashville'd by this honor.
Maybe if the Opry reinstates Hank.
Maybe. |

That was a nice little article!! Great backside of the front story.
The picture of Ketch looking all GQ - - yowza. And I have to admit I like the pic of Chance below it (braids and all) especially with the cup in his fancy blazer pocket.
Thanks for finding and sharing! |

So wasn't sure where else to put this, so decided here since Marty Stuart Made the announcement....
Anywho, reading this interesting article in my latest issue of Garden & Gun last night and a line struck me sorta funny.... “He’s got a collection that rivals the Country Music Hall of Fame,” says Nashville talent agent Bobby Cudd, who represents Old Crow Medicine Show, a group Stuart discovered busking in a festival parking lot."
First Is an agent and manager two different things? Just hoping Norm is still around.
Second: I hope this story doesn't overshadow Doc Watson really discovering Old Crow in Boone and giving them their first big break at MerleFest.
Anywho . . a fun read and great pictures. http://gardenandgun.com/article/marty-stuart-memory-keeper |

For cred when you're a 20something, bet it's hard to beat Doc Watson outside a drug store as discovery story. Definitely the superior tale. |
