I Hear Them All / This Land is Your Land
Cocaine Habit / Intros / Tell It To Me
If We Make It Through December [Merle Haggard] - with Dale Watson & band
Silver Wings [Merle Haggard] - with Dale Watson & band

Encore
Dixieland Delight [Alabama]
Quinn the Eskimo [Dylan] - with Dale Watson & band

My quick show summary: What a great show! The energy from the band was awesome. I've expressed in the past my concern that the band may turn into the Ketch show, but the other guys have really stepped up. It really felt like a BAND show, more than any time since *gulp* Willie left. Excellent song selection for this show, as well. It flowed along perfectly, and that seemed to be the consensus from the crowd cheers at the end. And the big surprise for me was the announcement that they are releasing the new record next year (2014). It's already in the can! (I don't follow on facebook so maybe this is already old news). Unfortunately I won't be there for the NYE show, so I hope someone can fill me in on the details on that one.
Some of my highlights:
-Morgan bowing the bass on the new songs
-Cory birdcall-whistling the solo for CC Rider
-That new song with Kevin singing was the best of the new ones. Big winner.
-Cory on drums on the new songs. If you had told me this beforehand I would have groaned, but really the arrangements were excellent and kind of swampy, I really like the sound they have going here
-Ketch was in great form vocally. Harmonies were tight. Beautiful three-part harmonies at the end of Silver Wings. And apparently he's discussed Wagon Wheel with Dylan, and Dylan is proud of what they've done with that "scrap of a song." Asked them to finish "Sweet Amarillo".
-Gill's transition to Run Run Rudolph from Mary's Kitchen was really neat. (Also the hat flip).
-Chance is NAILING those high harmonies.
-Critter busting out the accordion on the new/old Bob Dylan song
-I really like the sharing of solos. Not just fiddle and harps, now. Mandolin, Chance on fiddle, lots of slide features by Gill, just a lot of variety in their sound.

Everyone just looked like they were having FUN. Can't wait for new shows!

Great show tonight! Blew last years NYE away in my opinion. I think the boys had been practicing for this one a while.

Good to see Bo and Rodge and meeting Caveman at the show. Good times all around. We were on the back row but we were privileged to be in the building for a great New Years Eve.

You're right the timing was good...but it would never have happened if we weren't in the door. I told you getting in the door was all that mattered.
