Yea, I might hold off too but wondering how long it will be for the LP.
I heard the reason Dave and Gillian haven't released any of their albums on vinyl is because they are rebuilding the old Woodland Studios record lathe. Hope they get it done soon |

Saw Willie at Grimey's yesterday. It was a great time. The place was packed and everyone was super quite when they needed to be. It was cool to see Bo, Mandolin Orange, Gillian and Dave in attendance. Gill and Dave were especially grinning from ear to ear.

I was at Grimey's too 😃 I overheard Willie say that the vinyl may be available in August. Heck- I couldn't even wait for my pre-ordered CD to come in...had to get a copy that day and play it ASAP!! Love it!
So happy to be a part of the record release and getting to hear him live at Grimey's, Music City Roots and tonight at Station Inn. Hopefully it will be a longer playlist tonight! |

A night or two ago, I accidentally started arguing with this dude in the comments of his WW album review. He really liked it, but he has written some (I would say) bullshit stuff about OCMS previously. Plus, his style grates on me something fierce.

Lucy,
He's a shit starter. I like him for that, and I hate him for that. Google "Trigger" and "Shooter Jennings" and you will find this crazy ridiculous feud in which the two argued over keyboards for months. I think he just completely dropped the ball on researching the band and I am so glad you took him to task for it. The Ben Gould stuff was ridiculous. |

Also he seems to think he provoked the Taylor Swift song "Mean." Britches comma big.
I love how he responded with the Ben Gould stuff as if we were agreeing to disagree instead of me going no, what are you actually talking about? Are you just dropping an old member name for cred?
His style feels very shallow. |

Willie show tomorrow in Pittsburgh!
I want to take some photos but the venue is one of those unphonable ones.... I wonder if Willie would be okay with it if I sent him any good ones. |

Good work Lucy, but I do think he is mostly alright. Anyone who takes corporate mainstream country to task day in and day out is okay in my book. And he did give Willie a good review. Along with a few other music sites, I check his site everyday. I think he could take a big dose humility from time to time---glad you appeased him!
PS: have fun at Willie's show tonight---he was awesome in NC two weeks ago. |

Even with some of his previous words on Old Crow? They seem very ungenerous to me, and kind of trying to be cool. If his style speaks to you, fair enough, but it really bothers me. I do like the idea of the site in theory, though. |

Yeah, even with some of his thoughts on Old Crow. We are hardcore fans of Old Crow and any writings by those aren't as well-read on the topic are going to seem petty to us. I would argue that many of those on the threedimesdown board (a Drive-By Trucker forum) were rolling their eyes reading reviews of English Oceans because "They just don't understand the Truckers man." He is always scouring the web for the atrocities of corporate country and he has a good taste in music, so he's still on the "good side" to me. In fact, if it weren't for his review of Sturgill Simpson a few years back I wouldn't have ever got into his music.
And btw Lucy, he posted again last night about your topic. He mixed up Ben Gould with Gill Landry. He admitted that was the confusion. Cheers Lucy and keep up defending the Old Crows! |

Oooooh. I guess my repeated mentions that Gould left the band a solid decade ago didn't sink in until then.
That explains a few things, doesn't it?
Fair enough re the other stuff. I don't like his writing, though. But I am very picky about that kind of thing. |

He should do a 'compare and contrast' essay for his homework! |
