Sam Doores and the Tumbleweeds on Daytrotter
Sam was on my show with Spirit Family Reunion and Hurray for the Riff Raff in the Summer. He's a good dude playing some of that laid back sippin' on the mason jar music.

High Top Mountain by Sturgill Simpson. I saw him open for Dwight Yoakam...I enjoyed him as much as Dwight. He looks like Hayes Carll and has the voice of an angel. |

Saw them twice last month opening for Shovels and Rope.
Enjoyed the smooth country with nice harmonies both nights.
Did not know there was a Blitzen Trapper connection. |

That's a great album! I got it used at Newbury Comics six or seven years ago for about five bucks, it's been in heavy rotation whenever I'm driving ever since.

Oh yeah. It's a good 'un. Tucky and I listened to bits on the way to the Eddie Stubbs thing in Nashville.
In general, been on a hell of a Stanley Brothers kick the past year or so. |

I went to AmericanaramA Sunday night and saw Bob Weir and Bob Dylan... watched 'Magic Trip' earlier that day in preparation.
Now I'm on a musical trip and I can't stop.
Been revisiting..
"Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead rehearsing for their '87 tour together. 70+ songs! Waaaaaaaay better than that horrible Dylan/Dead album that came out. Great sound quality. My wig has been flipped!
Listen HERE
Download HERE"
AND then listened to Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions per Tucky's guidance..
http://archive.org/details/MotherMccreesUptownJugChampions_670
Then on to Old & The Way
and then to David Grisman Plays Big Mon
Pardon my excitement but DANG, I love days like this!
and no I didn't start taking LSD |

Haha!
Yeah, you don't want to get too sharp now. That's all dangerous and pointy-like. |

I have a friend who is blunt and sharp at the same time. Don't mess with that!
ON topic I finally got CW Stoneking. The temperatures have been in the 90s for a couple of weeks and the whole country has taken the month off.
Jungle Blues is my soundtrack.

I'm still on a huge Jerry Garcia string band kick. Found this list today that breaks them all down...

I lurk on a Drive-By Truckers forum named Three Dimes Down. I typically don't read too much into the Truckers stuff, as I spend my time in the "Other Bands/Music News (non DBT-related)" section. One of the moderators made a 3DD Country Mix (Summer 14). It is pretty darn tootin sweet. When you're not spinning Remedy give it a listen.

I should have listened to Bean last year. Love this record.
