New record is good, especially the earworm of a single.
The show was really good -- I took my parents, and they loved him, though mom was already a convert -- but it was interesting that it felt different. I only saw him once before in 2013, and this time it did feel more Pokey-centric.
He's just amazing, though, whatever he does. |

I really like the new album and it's always great to keep it fresh. I just hope on the next one, he let's the band loose and let them melt faces, like everyone knows they can.
I saw them in Nashville a few weeks ago, Pokey def was taking more of center stage, which he did very well. It was like he had a bunch of rabid dogs on stage that can chew the faces of the crowd but he kept em chained up. Let them dogs loose to eat dem faces! Seems like if everyone is ripping it up, Pokey would be elevated even higher. My .02. Still a really great show, reguardless!
Saw Caveman out there but lost track of him right after the show. Wish I coulda holler'd at him. |
