So, news today is that a Best of album will be released in February. 10 old tracks plus 2 new.
1) does this mean no other "new" album in 2017?
2) wonder if there will be any Willie tracks in there? |

Saw that, too. Looks like it's only the stuff they released through Nettwerk Records. They have been with ATO Records for the last couple of albums and none of the ATO stuff is included.
Disc: 1
1. Wagon Wheel
2. Tell It to Me
3. Down Home Girl
4. Alabama High-Test
5. Big Time in the Jungle
6. CC Rider
Disc: 2
1. Take 'Em Away
2. Humdiner
3. Fall on My Knees
4. My Good Gal
5. I Hear Them All
6. Caroline
Bonus:
Black Haired Quebecoise
Heart Up In The Sky
The bonus tracks will be cool. Weird for them to have a Best Of album. Hoping they still are in route to release a new album in 2017. Heard they were recording at RCA Studio A with Dave Cobb producing this late Summer. Hope it didn't get scraped. I'll try to get the lowdown at NYE |

I had to laugh when someone on their FB asked what Willie's cut would be.
Good choices for the bonus tracks. Were they studio cuts for Nettwerk, I wonder? |

Nettwerk should re-release all the old albums on vinyl |

Wooohooo. This means they'll have to play it live. Also, wouldn't be surprised to see a "special guest" in promotion of this album as, upon looking at the liner notes, Willie is definitely in there. At least you guys at the Ryman NYE might have a chance...! |

Anyone ever heard "Black-Haired Québécoise?"
I googled it, nothing turned up. |

This is indeed exciting news.... I would buy it just for those bonus tracks! I have both on an old bootleg tape from Maine made in maybe 1998 (?). Heart has always been a favorite of mine and Québécois is catchy and fun to sing along with. |

Anyone else get this? I procrastinated and didn't. I listened to the snippet of Heart on Amazon and it was pretty good. Still digging my Dickson version better (wink wink)! But, alas, I ended up ordering it today. |

I wish they would just re-release all their albums on vinyl. I'd buy all those before buying a Best Of compilation |

A bit off topic, what songs come to mind that y'all know have been recorded but never released/songs that are originals of theirs that they never recorded and only play in concert?
Just wondering. |

Satisfied. Do-re-mi. Don't know if these are originals, but I think they are. |

I'm thinking Do-re-mi is one where they put their own spin on it. And I don't recall Satisfied, I remember Gill's version though with the Syncopators. |
