Man I'm jealous, only seen 'em at Grey Fox, but forget which year. Been going to that one for about 12 now and they're all blurred together.

I've only seen the guys at the past two Cambridge Folk Festivals (though they've been great shows so I'm not complaining too much!). I can't remember the dates though - around abouts the end of July '04 and '05. I really hope that they come back to England once the new albums been finished - either that or I make my millions so I can bum across America catching more of their shows!

I regret to inform you I've only seen them once. But it was by far the greatest concert I have ever been too. I saw at Stubb's Bar-B-Q in Austin, TX. back on April 27, 2005. You can view the photos here: http://www.pbase.com/edwalk74/old_crow_medicine_show

I hope they come back to Texas soon.

Jahnee: Yeah, making my millions would be way better, but in terms of likelihood...not very! and in terms of time scale...I think it might happen around the time that Johnny Depp and Willie are fighting over my affections, just after I've become a best selling author and Dolly Parton moves in next door! It could happen.......maybe! Until then though I shall just keep saving up and taking all the OCMS shows I can get! (Unless ofc ourse you have any spare cash to send to a poor, Old Crow obsessed student?!!) Wink

July 9 2004 - Opry Plaza, Nashville
Oct. 16, 2005 - Recher Theatre, Towson, MD
Dec. 3, 2005 - War Memorial, Nashville.

The Dec. 3rd show was obviously the best of the three. But their show at the Opry Plaza blew me away, and really made me a diehard fan. I mean, they played for free, and still gave a three hour show. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I haven't seen a band play as hard as the Crows since the last time I saw Slayer live.

Six I think? Four times in San Francisco, once in Felton and once in Hollywood.

The dates escape me at this moment.

I've been listenin' for awhile, but didn't see em til this year.
Champaign: Maybe the best...probably cause my first. The crowd was great and the band was stoked. Got the feelin that critter hadn't been around for awhile and they was sure "glad to have him there." Gil was really cool.
Southgate House: Great venue, great show. The boys weren't in the best mood over sound or something. People kept buying me PBR's so I didn't notice.
War Memorial: I had expected Gil/David, but couldn't believe what I was seein and hearin. Another highlight for me was Kevin's tune....he's got a real old timey voice that I'm not sure I hear enough of.
Lookin forward to next round!

The Gil at Champaign was Gill Landry from The Kitchen Syncopators. Sorry if I confuse.

I've been pretty absent from this forum for awhile. Last night on the side of my fridge I saw my ticket stub for the only OCMS concert I've seen, it was May 25th at the Doug Fir in Portland, Oregon. It was one of the best shows I've ever scene.

Looking forward to welcoming them back.

Being from Johnson City, TN, one might think that I have seen OCMS at the DownHome as many times as the rodge. But, I didn't hear them until February 2004 on the local public radio station 89.5 WETS. And I regret to say that I missed their last show at the DownHome, but my fingers are crossed, as I bet are many other folk's, that they will in the future come back to the "eclectic music room." Here's my stats.

April 28, 2004 - Asheville, NC - The Orange Peel - Opened for Gil and Dave
September 18, 2004 - Bristol, TN - Rhythm and Roots Reunion
September 19, 2004 - Bristol, VA - Rhythm and Roots Reunion
February 24, 2005 - Bristol, TN - Paramount Center for the Arts
February 26, 2005 - Knoxville, TN - Tennessee Theatre
September 17, 2005 - Bristol, TN - Rhythm and Roots Reunion

I've seen them twice

29th July 2004 - Shepherd's Bush Empire, with Gillian and Dave - First time I heard them, and I left hooked. It was probably the best gig I've ever seen (not including Bob Dylan).
17th November 2004, Borderline - where I met Libby and Willie sang Drinkin' of the Wine.

I have only had the chance to see these boys 3x now... first at Headliners in Louisville in Dec 04. The at the Music Mill in Indianapolis in Aug 05 and the bluebird in Bloomington in Oct ..... Each time, the band was kind enough to oblige my friends and I with some conversation and a few photos. My friend blurted out that I do some landscaping for John Mellencamp so Ketch gave me a cd to pass along to him. Willie took the time to inquire about the types of plants Mellencamp has at his home.... it was fun, even if I am a little embarrassed to admit that I do work for the little pink houses for you and me guy......lol
