A sad day in Bakersfield. I'm glad I stopped at his steakhouse to his show last year.

What a great singer. We'll miss you Buck.
My favorite song by him is "Hello Trouble."
I'll jam out to that song just for Buck.

my band was playing a gig saturday night. we hadn't heard that buck owens died and coincidently, our bass player sang "hello trouble". a lady came up during intermission and informed us of the sad news.

degrees of seperation... when I was a kid I had guitar lessons from a priest who took lessons from Roy Clark. he said Roy always said not to worry about proper form & technique and to do what you need to do to do what you need to do. this was good for me to hear because I frequently bring my thumb over the top of the neck to hit bassnotes.

I also took lessons from joe negri for a while... he was a regular on Mister Rogers

obi wan kenobi... listenin to buck owens... doot doot doot
