Hey for any of you down near Nashville you should really go see the String Dusters tommarow night at the Station Inn (Jan. 27th) I saw these guys very first show at The Inn last January and they were amazing, they're going to be huge in the bluegrass scene. Bunch of young extremly talented pickers, including dobro master Andy Hall. Great vocals and harmonies too. Can't say enough good stuff about them.
Check out their site here at - www.thestringdusters.com
I, being in New York state, will be unable to attend, but am going to see Marty Stuart tommarow night. |

ah crap dude, I'm going to be out of town or I would go. Marty Stewart, eh? Mr. Lionhead himself! I used to hate on him alot but got a new respect for his mandolin playing the other night on Conan. Still though, dude needs to cut his hair. haha. |

Yea, he's got a bad haircut but the boy can pick! Which is more than I can say for most "CMT Nashville country musicians". . . .
Take "Montgomery Gentry" for example. . . . I hate to admit this but these guy are from my area up here in Ky. We're not real proud of 'em. |

what do you think of your local band and my personal favorite, the kentucky headhunters? there ain't a band around that compares. they're considered country, but can play anything. from blues to southern rock, they are a damn fine band. they're good friends of mine, so check them out sometime, if you haven't already. |

Yea, good band dudley. I've seen 'em a few times now over the years. They've been playing together for a while. They're highly regarded at my favorite guitar shop.
So these guys are friends of yours aye? Thats cool. . . |
