True, true. No offence meant to Steve or anybody else acting as admin or mod on the board. They do a fabulous job, one and all.

(Goes to show how out of touch I am these days!)

It's all good. Everybody does their part to make this the best place to hang out on the internets! Pittsy has been the man on deleting spammers and bogus accounts and organizing the Live section. Thanks to all the moderators too!

Yeah, Pittsy was the first to make me feel at home around here. That means a lot to someone out here in the middle of the desert where the #1 local act is a buncha heavy metal guys in fro wigs doing disco covers...

I think that's worse. The Boogie Nights are actually pretty good. I just don't need to see them every week

Hey Rhino - look around and read the locked topics - - there has been must discussion about Critter on the board - and the topics have been locked out of respect. Don't worry - he will be back around I am sure of it.

A. WSM-AM is playing "Caroline", at least Keith Bilbry is.
2. OCMS is taping Marty Stuart's show on RFD on Monday night. I have tried, just bit, to find out where this is, but %&$@. WSM-AM is giving tickets to the 6th caller.

Come on down to and join the party. I checked her web site out and she has a new cd out during the tour. So It ought to be a great night. She has a great soft voice. Can't wait

This is big news among folkies! Gosh, I wish I could go. Arlo Guthrie, Old Crow, Pete, Richie Havens!

Clearwater festival set for June 20-21; tickets on sale today
March 17, 2009

The annual Clearwater Festival will be held June 20-21 at Croton Point Park in Croton, Westchester County, and feature Susan Tedeschi, Arlo Guthrie and the Old Crow Medicine Show, among others, as performers.

Tickets go on sale at noon today. Visit www.clearwater.org for information.

2009 marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of the sloop Clearwater; 90th birthday of Pete Seeger, the folk singer from Fishkill who founded the organization to clean up the Hudson River; and the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s maiden voyage up the river that later honored him.

Clearwater is based in Poughkeepsie.

From the Clearwater Web site:

Man, I can't believe no one has responded to the news above. This is like the perfect aligning of nine planets! (Well ... at least eight.)
