Hey,

Great to have you on board. Fellow Bama Guy here (Live in Bama and went to school at Bama, Roll Tide!)

I think there are a few tickets to the Ryman left, Me and a few friends are road trippin to the show from Huntsville, They really put on a show at the Ryman. It's a great venue. Hope you can go!

Why are there no prostitutes in Tennesee?

(Given this board, I might get lynched for this).

Hey....... Texas is good and but FYI( yeah that sounds gay... FYI, but i said it) If Texas played in the SEC they would lose one game. You might not believe me but they would. Its the toughest conference and auburn
should have gone to the national championship. I hate auburn but you got to Bryant-Denny and win, your pretty good. It is the loudest stadium period. I heard a guy whose been to every SEC stadium( a GATOR fan) and after the tide played and beat them in 05' he said that was the loudest his ever heard any crowd. ROLL TIDE!

P.S. We also have some of the hottest women too.

Yeah, but you've got a larger population to derive your hot women from. 4.5 million to nearly 23 million?

And as for the Auburn game, they should've wound up a little higher in the rankings than they did; the win against Bama in Auburn was impressed (and I'm man enough to admit that I cried a little when we were down 21-0). The opening game loss to Georgia Tech hurt them a lot, though.

UT fans don't know how mad Bama fans hate UT fans. I mean yeah bama vs. auburn is the biggest rivalry ,but when fat phil went and told on bama and ruined bama's program that made me so mad. Yeah you might have clinched the east but not to many people care about basketball. We beat yall any way in basketball I was there. Once again 6-3.

I was at the Bama/Vols game this year, It was so great to cheer Rammer Jammer to Phat Foolmer at the end of that game. I don't have a problem with Vol fans, just Phat Foolmer, he has outlasted his usefulness as a coach. College football has evolved and he has not kept up.

Okay all you Alabama folks! I got one band member from Huntsville, one from Mobile, and one quasi member who just moved out of the area and back to Birmingham. Here's my description of Andrew's last show for ya, hopefully it will make you smile:

"Meanwhile, it is with deep regret and a profound sense of loss that we say goodbye to Andrew, a dear old friend and the subject of one million unwritten sonnets in my heart. He's tall, straight, southern and tragically, taken. The love of a good woman is calling him back to Birmingham & the good lord's time zone. Women in the DC metro area take heed- if you find yourself inexplicably crying at the bus stop, it is not PMS, it is the collective unconcious longing for someone and something you didn't even know you were missing!

All right, I'm kidding. Sort of. Luckily for you ladies there are two Bama boys in our hillbilly coterie who are still available! And to be honest it's just as well that one is hitting the road, when I was on stage with all three last night I really couldn't take the heat, it was just too much even for a woman of my moral substance & I was very nearly overwhelmed by my darker spirits."

Embarrassing moment: after we got done playing that farewell engagement, I armed myself with Wild Turkey & attempted to express my love to Andrew thinking, to hell with his fiance, this could be my last chance!

"Andrew," I flirted shamelessly, "you know you are breaking my heart! I just don't know how I'll carry on."

He smiled and gave me a hug and said, "you don't have to tell me Sarah... your friend Kate already did."

Traitor! She is from TN, I guess they get their nickname from VOLUNTEERING too much information! Thanks a lot, Kate! I will never bother revealing my secret crushes again now that I have someone to do it for me.

Well, that tomfoolery aside, it's been my experience playing with these people that there are no finer folks than those from the great state of Alabama. Not only are they fine musicians but they've brought a bunch of fantastic friends from home out to see our shows and they are the best audience in the world.

Roll tide indeed!

the proof is in the puddin! Sure Brodie is younger than my little brother, that didn't stop me from building a shrine to him on the mantel right next to our Bear Bryant commemorative TV tray!
