Hey, just saw the show last night, and, as expected, they simply rocked. Saw them last fall at the Americana Folk Festival in Dickson, TN, and fell in love - knew this show would be a must-see. Tickets were (of course) sold out, so a friend in the biz had to score 'em. Much thanks to him and all the friendly faces out there last night! |

Yes, as a disillusioned teen, I lit glow candles and wrote poetry the day Jerry died. I'll always be a deadhead, but I'm definitely becoming an OCMS F-R-E-A-K! Too bad I don't have the time to follow them around like we did WSP in college, yet thank goodness for all those fresh faces who can! I can see the joy the fans give to the band on stage- it's so cool to see it flow both ways. |

I too, found myself followin' the dead around the country! I will never forget the morning I recieved the call of Jerry's death back in 95.
I too, found myself BACK on the bus following WSP as well. Hell...I still find myself at more panic shows than I care to admit, but as long as it doesn't effect my career, I will still act like I'm 21.
The spriit of youth....and music. God bless my ears...and my young soul!
"And in my mind, I was a child...AND IT FELT GOOD! |

AMEN! I guess WSP isn't coming to Nashvegas this summer. As much as I love it, Memphis is too dang hot in July. I almost died of sweat there last summer, not even at a show! I guess from a distance these bands seem nothing alike, but the same heart is there. When you love to play, it shows, and when people love you back...it's a win-win kinda deal!
I should probably act more my age, too, but no one seems to mind. Maybe it's cos I still get carded for smokes; perhaps I don't stick out as bad as I think I do. |
