I've misplaced my CD case for Big Iron World, this happens often as I generally load discs on to my iPod and never spin them again, and so I don't know if they have lyrics in the liner notes. I was wondering though, is anyone going to add the new albums lyrics onto this site?
I'm glad the lyrics section hasn't been moved, even though you have to ninja your way to getting there.
I was specifically hoping to read the lyrics to I hear them all.

if you scroll down this Lyrics forum, you'll see that dubharlin has posted individual threads with the lyrics for every song on the new album... the lyrics are not in the liner notes so it's up to us to make comments and try to figure em out |

you know it is!
I'm a big fan of not including the lyrics for this reason. also, by not "officializing" the lyrics, the band can take advantage of poetic truth which is that sometimes a particular word is not set in stone on purpose. I think a lot of times singer songwriters made little word plays that could go either way, and they do that on purpose, to revel in various dual implications. this is not a great example, but kind of along those lines is "playing hard"/"playing whore" line in My Good Gal... on the record it almost sounds like "whored" as if he wanted to say whore but added the D so that more puritanical folks could think he was saying hard. hearing the song live, it almost certianly sounds like "whore" |
