I was cruisin round the OCMS site on the "tour" tab and clicked on the bottom link which reads "subscribe to OCMS RSS feed" and it brought up a page of information that had a clip of their Down Home video. I hadn't seen a recent reference to it here, and the old link from another post didn't work for me (it appears to be dated 2006). It takes "Realplayer" (the Windows Media link didn't work). It is: http://www.nettwerk.com/media/ram/OldCrMe_DowHoGi_Vid.ram
Sorry if this is old. I liked the clip and thought others might too. |

This is close a close enough topic for this comment.... listening to WNCW http://www.wncw.org as I always do while slaving away at work.... I start humming along to Down Home Girl. About 30 seconds into the song, it clicks that it isn't OCMS and it isn't the Rolling Stones.
It is Nic Armstonr and the Theives doing a cover of DHG on their slbum The Greatest White Liar. Pretty kicky and fun version.... very fucky and retro sounding for lack of a better description. http://www.austinchronicle.com/gyrobase/Issue/review?oid=oid%3A263056
And this is just another reason why I LOVE WNCW!! They play OCMS a lot.... but they have pulled out this obscure artist that has done a version of a song that OCMS also covers.
Just thought I would share |

We're all here to entertain one another in the "between crow" times! I never fail to get a good laugh 'round this place! |
