Anybody know anything about this place?

Old Crow are playing there Feb 9 and it looks to be sort of on the way to Bristol to me. I can't work out from the university's website what the show would be like or how you'd get tickets.

Libby - Thanks for the heads up. I'll work on getting tickets tomorrow and post info accordingly. I saw The Seldom Scene there about ten years ago - it is spacious but intimate at the same time, and the link from crowmedicine says capacity of 1500 - I remember it being about that.
Interesting that the boys didn't post Bristol or this one until the day Bristol tix went on sale. I am glad that I get to see two shows now!!! You know one ain't enough.

Hmm, now I have no idea what I was mapping last night! 322.45 miles from Richmond KENTUCKY (what would I be doing in Richmond VA silly??) to Radford if I take the interstates. 284.29 miles on the blue highways.

Tell me about it! I'm trying to choose between seeing Reckless Kelly and Old Crow, or seeing Old Crow twice that second week in February. It's keeping me awake. lol.

Alrighty folks... here's the deal as of today. NOBODY at Radford knows what's going on yet, but the lady is supposed to call me back as soon as she gets some info together. There seems to be some confusion, thus the lack of info on crowmedicine.com thus far.

Libby...do you listen to Reckless Kelly??? They're at the Visulite Theater in Charlotte on 2/6, opening for Big Head Todd and the Monsters (who I don't like). I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip that and go to the Radford and Bristol shows instead...but only 80% sure.

I hate making decisions.

Yes, I love Reckless Kelly!

Charlotte is a bit far for me, though...

Yeah, it's a bit far for me too...but much closer than Texas and Idaho, where they usually play, which is why I'm considering it!

By the way...you have excellent taste in music. Wink

Why, thank you!

I know. It is true that they are never anywhere near Virginia. It's too bad that show is mid-week! I don't think I could possibly go without missing classes, and the following week is going to be horrible as it is if I'm spending the whole weekend following Old Crow instead of working.

Maybe one day I will have the time and money to drive all the way to Texas to see Reckless Kelly...

hey deen - you got family in Rocky Mount??? Franklin Co. is right next door to God's country!! You ought to come down the first weekend in June for the Pigg River Ramble - it's a fun little canoe race with a barbecue and bluegrass music in town afterwards. -- Also, I would suggest taking 81 up to Roanoke and then coming 221 south to Rocky Mount after the show. Rt. 40 may look like a good route, but trust me - it takes FOREVER to come that way, especially at night.

Hmm...an Old Crow show sounds a little more important than that! Wink

Libby, I'm pretty sure the Radford show is GA. If you haven't already learned that by now!

My tix were in the mailbox today... Yeeehaw! Anyone else going? It will be my son's first show and he is looking forward to it. When I told him at dinner tonight, he said "are we gonna hear 'cocaine gonna kill my honey dead'??" Ahhh, the joys of fatherhood!! I'm sure his kindergarten teacher will be giving me a call the monday after the shows!!! Laughing

I hear ya brother... I figure he's better off aware of the things that are out there, and better to learn at home than out in the cruel world. Them Socialist Services bastards better stay away from my family - only way my boy is leaving is being drug out kicking and screaming over his papa's corpse!! Call the news! There's gonna be a shooting!! Wink Hope to see everyone there -- this last week can't pass soon enough!
