Hootenanny is a great word.
Came across this phrase while reading the booklet for the box set of Charlie Poole: "Suicidal Bender" although maybe it sounds more like a punk band ... lol. |

I'm kinda partial to bands that don't have Band in the name. |

The Lincoln-Davis Hootenanny.... Sounds like a good name for the band, as well as a new name for "the war". |

Yeah, me too. Especially (Somebody's Name) Band. I voted for Hootenanny. |

Call yerself "Tumbleweed Fiasco"....
You might think....."Well.. what kind of trouble can a tumbleweed cause?"
You are better off not knowing
and "fiasco" is italian for flask so it has potential in an old timey outfit. |

You coluld alway go with the classic "Free Beer and Chicken string band".
You will always get a good turn out if you put up flyers. |
