That sounds awesome.
I wonder where/when/if they are playing again?
Edit
I did a search on LA Weekly's site. All that came up (somewhat confusingly) is this:
By Alie Ward
Wednesday, November 8, 2006 - 12:00 pm
Thursday, 9:08 p.m.: “I figured, how can I come to Largo and not sing a folkie murder ballad?” Sean Watkins (of lauded bluegrass outfit Nickel Creek) is moonlighting in his two-piece band, Tractor Beam, during the Watkins Family Hour. It’s an elegant, high-class hootenanny. Candles in mason jars glow like fireflies on the tabletops as he drones on about the lovelorn suicide of a butcher’s daughter. I find his nasal howl equally suited to sorrowful crooning and pig calling. I’d like to be wearing a bonnet.
Doesn't look like Sean Watkins to me... |

Critter and Ketch were in a band called Los Chupacabras with Tom Peloso. I saw them in Charlottesville last year. At the same show, Critter played with a bunch of people in a band called Critter and his Li'l Smokies.
I don't know about Morgan or Kevin! It wouldn't surprise me if Ketch had more than one side project. He seems to know a lot of people in the old time community. |

Oh, and is Mike Witcher related to Gabe Witcher? He plays fiddle with Chris Thile, right? |

He's worn the same shirt for about every show so far on this tour. Ketch likes to wear the same couple of shirts over and over too. Probably don't want to worrry about hauling clothes around and laundry. |

Enough about the damn shirts already, Crow people! They are just shirts. Who cares if he wears them day in and day out. NO, I mean, SERIOUSLY, what does it matter? |

I gots no problem with it. After I get home from work, I put on the same pair of pants and sweatshirt and have been for months. He asked a question, I gave him an answer. Chill out! |

I only wrote that so that people could get over it already. Why is it such a big deal. You're telling the wrong person to "chill out", I'm not the one making a fuss over something so trivial as what shirt who wears on what day. :} |
