Aye, it had to be :( Would be so amazing to see him!! Dunkeld really is the only one I can get to without driving 5+ hours (and taking a ferry if I'm going to Stornoway).

Hmmmm, maybe he'll add a show on the Sunday in Edinburgh just cos Very Happy

Nooooooo, Gill is doing solo shows in Scotland, and the one I could actually get to is on the night when I finally get to see JTE for the first time...

Fri 15th – HebCelt Festival, Stornoway
Sat 16th – Ullapool Tall Ships, Ullapool
Sun 17th – The Arch Inn, Ullapool
Mon 18th – Hootanannys, Inverness
Tue 19th – Eagle Barge, Fort William
Wed 20th - Star Inn, Stornoway
Thur 21st – Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore
Fri 22nd – Athol Arms, Dunkeld
Sat 23rd – Wickerman Festival, Dumfries

What's with all these gigs in the Highlands and Islands...

i just wanted to look at these again ... sigh
I'll be over in England and can't get away - well possibly Dumfries but that's a festival ticket so .. no! Hehe - Trapped In Kansas are playing there - my friend's son Iain's band!

AND i leave before JTE arrives!

So give it up, Bo- did ya really need a $200 flannel shirt? Laughing

I know! Timing couldn't be worse :(

Hmm, maybe your pal's son could get you a free ticket? Otherwise, it's mighty dear. And Gill's not even listed anywhere in their line up, so god only knows what kind of slot he'll get.

We'll be seeing JTE plus loads of others at The Southern Fried Festival in Perth, about 10 miles from Dunkeld. Always a great festival, BUT I can't believe Gill will be playing so close! And at the Atholl Arms too. We always stay there when we're in Dunkeld for hill walking and stuff. Hmpf :(

The other places are just too far to try and get to after work. Nae chance.

Surely he could fly home from Glasgow or Edinburgh and squeeze in a show on Sunday night Wink Hmm, fingers crossed he'll add another gig or two....

haha, nah that place is purdy sweet. Saw Gil play there once and they have free whiskey. Sweet deal. Was Gil out there again?

Unbelievable! The good people of Inverness have no idea what they're missing!

Here we are, desperately trying to get to see Gill (and now I realise he's travelling with Chessboxer), and folk are ignoring them entirely....

They might as well come to Stu's house, or Katie's or Missy's, and they'd get a more appreciative audience!!

They sound great though, and it bums me out even more that I won't be able to see them after hearing this :(

Well they do get a round of applause at the end of Stackolee, but yeah, it sounds like a tough audience. The camera-person got a good seat!

From what i can hear they do sound great. I hope a few people knew what they were listening to!

Aye, seems like a tough audience indeed! Not sure anyone's really listening apart from the camera guy. What a shame.

But most of the venues they're playing are gonna be like that. Just local pubs where folk go for a drink and "listen" to whoever happens to be on. HebCelt should have been different though.

At least we get to hear a wee bit of what's going on.

Gill is supporting The Felice Brothers on their fall tour from October 11th in Nashville to November 14th in Atlanta with one exception - New Orleans on the 10th November.

I wish he was coming to europe with them but we will get AA Bondy instead Very Happy

Whelp, Gill very politely warned me that he will not be talking about the hiatus. Loose lips sink ships, I reckon. Ha!

Y'all got any easier questions?

Ask him what it's like going on the road with the Felice Brothers.
I'll see them in 17 days.
