I'm a fan of traditional music, but not a hardcore follower so when I go to a bluegrass jam I usually recognize some tunes by staple artists like Doc Watson or Tony Rice. About a year ago I went to a jam and some fella played a tune called "Wagon Wheel" that I had never heard, but the melody stuck in my head. A year later, I still found myself singing fragments of that catchy tune that I had only heard one time in my life. Curiosity set in and I did an internet search using a few of the words I could remember. It turned up the video for "Wagon Wheel" by OCMS, who I had never even heard of way up here in Michigan :D I ordered the CD figuring I would give it a chance, and within a few weeks I was 100% hooked and the owner of all their studio CDs plus all the extras from EPs that I could find on itunes. So I'm a newbie compared to most of you, but its been quite awhile since a band has hooked me like OCMS has me hooked right now.
Nice to meet you!

They just played in Ann Arbor very recently and I'm kicking myself for not going. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. |
