This is an interesting song. It looks like a combination of 2 songs, "Glad and Sorry Blues" by John Harris and "Please don't holler mama" by Clifford Hayes & The Dixieland Jug Blowers.
It's been done with completely different verse lyrics and even the chorus was different. Sometimes they say "I don't know what to do" and others they sing "it really makes me blue".
When I play this I sing the "what to do" chorus, and the following verses, plus a few more that I wrote.
It seems this song didn't get enough play time to get refined and hammered into a solid song, too bad.
Here is the best version that I can come up with from the boys:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please don't Holler Mama
G|C|D
[CHORUS]
G
Please don't holler mama while I'm squeezing you
C................................................................G
Please don't holler mama while I'm squeezing you
.............D.......................................................G
When I think of your big legs it really makes me blue
That Walk you got baby, it's way to fast
That walk you got baby, it's way to fast
The way you look good mama make it last
[CHORUS]
You're long and tall mama and that ain't all
You're long and tall mama and that ain't all
The way you love me mama, just makes me fall
[CHORUS] |

Nice job fox. I also liked hearing the harmonica on Gospel Plow--a different take on the OCMS fiddle version. |

Baby I am glad and sorry too
Baby I am glad and sorry too

That walk you got baby, its way to fast
That walk you got baby, its much to fast
Well the way you loved me mama I used to make it last
Please dont holler mama when I'm squeezin' you
Please dont holler mama when I'm squeezin' you
When I think of your big legs it really makes me blue ("oh it does make me blue, so blue")
(Harmonica)
Well, baby I am glad and sorry too
Oh, baby I am glad and sorry too
When I think of your big legs I don't know what to do
