Hi to everyone

Introductions first - Wayne's the name but i usually just go by the name dudds,

I'm from Manchester England.

Been a big Crow fan for about 7 yrs now. cant get enough of them, they are a hell of band. Always try to catch them a couple of times when they tour this side of the pond. Wish the guys could come over this way more, but i understand the logistics of that task are huge. Think Belfast is in order in September this year, i hope the guys might sneak a few more shows in - maybe even some festivals. here's hopin'

They always get a great reception over here, and put on one hell of a show. don't understand why they aren't bigger commercially, but hell commercial success is not a barometer of taste.

As things like uTube have got bigger over the last few years at least you can see them grow around the world and appreciate their true fan base.

I didn't think the 2004 album could every be beat, but damn, just how good is Tennessee Pusher. The guys should be mighty proud of that. there's some classic tunes in there.

Anyway - i'm ramblin'...

I'll be good to chat with like minded people on here, i promise to not be so shy this time 'round.

walk in beauty
dudds

i had no idea where Pacheco Pass was, so wikipedia tells me ;-

The pass was named for Francisco Perez Pacheco. In the 1850s, an informal variant name for the pass was Robber's Pass attributed to the frequent hold-ups experienced by travelers using the route. Because of the high number of traffic fatalities, Pacheco Pass is sometimes also called Blood Alley

very colourful, as we say around these parts...

thanks for the welcome buddy anyway

what's your all time fave OCMS tune then?

arr gumbostu

cool handle man. cheers for saying hello

yes i was at the Academy show - i was right down at the front, with a couple of friends right infront of the left hand side PA stack, getting drowned out by the beautiful noise -

are you going to the Belfast show in september? sounds like a great occasion to meet up and have a pint. have you heard of any other UK dates being lined up? its festival time, so i'm wondering if the might sneek in a festival appearance - they've played cambridge folk festival before now.

i'm thinking its a long ways to come to only do one show...

here's hoping eh

best wishes
dudds

I haven't heard of any other dates and i'll be up in Belfast for the Crows (and the Felice Brothers on the Friday) and a pint is most definitely in order.

it'd be great if a few more dates pop up

I was in front of Ketch at the Academy show (with a trilby on) except for a few minutes while i went to the bar Wink

thanks for the welcome - Hou's aw wi ye?

i know your beautiful city well, as i work for a scottish firm.

I'm hoping to go to T in the Park again this year - have you ever had a bit of that? Great festival, some folk acts so a good mixture, and not as commercial as Glastonbury has turned into nowadays. There's also a Rockness festival with another of my fave bands playing, DOVES this year...

So, what's your fave OCMS tune then?

Here's tae us -

thanks for the welcome Chigger - Boy you live in a beautiful location...

Mcminnville Tennessee... not so far aways from Chattanooga which I've drove through on a road trip once or twice... In fact you are not so far away from Manchester, Tennessee either. Being a Manc of the UK persuasion, i go looking for stuff like that. I found a Denton, Texas on the same road trip, i was born n bred in the UK version...

I have to say i love the south - you are in the thick of it where you are located - Nashville to the north, beautiful states of Carolina and Georgia to the south of you - and the mississippi into new orleans. I bet you don't get bored.

any road - thanks for the warm welcome - so how big are OCMS near you?

Yes, I agree- nowhere else I'd rather be! In answer to your question, the boys are HUGE 'round these parts. From the kids to their grandparents... Laughing

Ahm awrite, thanks, yersel? Smile

Aye, it's no a bad place to stay!

I haven't been to T yet. I used to stay nearby though. Hope you got your tickets ok, they always sell out really quickly!! Check out Belladrum if you can't get tix for T. It's a great wee festival!!

Hmmmm, I'm not sure I have just ONE fave OCMS song....I'm sure there was a thread on here a while ago, asking for 5 favourite songs which was hard enough...Minglewood Blues? God's got it? Crazy Eyes? Lonesome Road Blues? Raise a Ruckus? I really can't decide... Smile Am really enjoying Wawa at the moment too. So happy they re-realeased it.

So here's hoping that there will be some more UK dates announced soon...although going to Belfast will be fun too!!
