AIN'T NOBODY'S BUSINESS

G........................................
My wife drives a Ford machine
C............................
I buy all the gasoline
D.............................G..
Nobody's business if I do
.................................
Well nobody's business
C......................................
Ain't nobody's dirty business
D.............................G..
Nobody's business if I do

My wife drives a brand new car
I ride on the runnin' board
Nobody's business if I do
Well nobody's business
Ain't nobody's dirty business
Nobody's business if I do

You better get on out, you been runnin' 'round
There ain't nobody gonna put me down
Nobody's business if I do
Well nobody's business
Ain't nobody's dirty business
Nobody's business if I do

Oh it's nobody's business
Ain't nobody's dirty business
Nobody's business if I do
Well it's nobody's business
Ain't nobody's dirty business
Nobody's business if I do

Looks like this one may have come from Earl Johnson & His Dixie Entertainers out of Gwinnett County, GA about 1927. Earl's version has totally different verses with the exception of the "Ford machine" verse, which is similar. Earl is also the source on great numbers like Johnny Get Your Gun and All Night Long.

Thanks to jkorp for the third verse assist.

I have been known to lose track of time rummaging around in the archives.

Early 80's, working nights at a bowling alley. I was so-so at Dig Dug, but Joust was my game.

Same time period, but our bowling alley had the original Star Wars upright... I dropped a BUNCH of quarters in that mug!

You're just lucky I didn't take all your money and leave you lying in the dust. Many a man done met his maker at the business end of my .44. Very Happy
