so, I've been hanging around this site for a really, really long time. I felt that it was finally time to introduce myself. I've seen Old Crow preform live 13 times over the last 7 years (last time was NYE of last year...what an amazing show! It was my first time in Nashville and I think I may have fallen hard for the city...) but have never actually joined this fan site for a number of reasons. I'd love to get to know all you regulars better. But be patient with me...I'm a grad student a single parent...life can be a bit crazy...somehow, with all the time I've spent "lurking" here I feel like I know you you all already....
Here's to new friends.... |

Welcome! Welcome! This is definitely the place for you.
The NYE show was killer, wasn't it? That was my first Nashville trip as well, and I'm dying to go back for much longer. Definitely an intriguing city, even without the amazing Ryman. |

I can't even pretend I haven't noticed there is certainly a cohort of geography geeks that hang around this site...that makes me happy in ways you cannot even comprehend... |

Yeah, my wife has a degree in geoscience and A LOT of geography knowledge, so I kinda got sucked in by default... Glad to have you with us, welcome to the Murder!
If you've been lurking that long without joining up, those red stars are a gift from above, huh? |

Hahaha...well I'm getting a life of hard knocks degree in the madness... but rewards of single parenting...two brilliant but willful younguns(thankfully with a deep love for OCMS and string instruments already tho)...life is awesome with them,a true gift but not without moments of mayhem...
it's the music that keeps me sane, I'm certain... [/quote] |

I hear that, sister! I don't know what I would do without some good tunes...
So...someone might get a kick outta this so I'm gonna share. My 11-year-old was listening to Tennessee Pusher the other day and gleefully singing along when I busted a gut laughing because I heard her singing "Alabama Hot Dish"! Hee hee... |

That's brilliant! Almost better than the original
Welcome, by the way! I'm usually a bit of a lurker round here myself, except when the boys come to England. |
