Hi yall!
I wanted to ask you if you think that OCMS are going to re-release the following albums:
-Transmission
-Vegas
-Troubles Up and Down the Road
-Webcor Sessions
I've been looking for them for a long time and I've found nothing, but I've seen that they've recently re-released Wawa and Eutaw.
Do you think there's any chance they might re-release these too?
Thanxs! |

I'd be surprised if they even have a copy of Vegas. There's precious few of those around.
As i understand it Vegas and Transmission were made on little cassette recorders and the quality would make a release very doubtful. Maybe on some box set in 50 years time?
Troubles and Webcor might come round again but who knows.
It's nice to see the covers for these up on crowmedicine.com
I never saw the cover for Vegas before |

Welcome! Sorry to dissapoint, but you really DON'T find 'em. I believe the Webcor stuff may be available digitally somewhere though. |

Digital outlaws have been known to hunt down "Troubles Up and Down the Road," and those that have been successful claim it might be the finest 6 songs ever packaged together.
But I've said too much. |

Some friends of mine asked me to go
out on a hunting spree
'cause there ain't a hound dog in the state
that can hold a light to me
(except kg of course)
i heard some of those digital outlaws use google
the opening verse of rub alcohol blues is perhaps the finest moment in all of recorded music |

Rub Alcohol Blues-
Yep, the mournful vocal strains (hats off outta respect here, people) just before the bass starts up... one of the absolute best OCMS moments.
...and oh man, that "Darlin Corey"... |

While all the individual songs are great, it's the strength of the collection that always floors me. There is always a moment usually during the transitions between "Girl' "Corey" or "Sadie" where I'm just stunned by the greatness. It reminds me of "Exile on Main Street" in that way. It's not just the songs, its the totality. |

Seems like the reissues have halted at Wawa. It'd be nice of them to keep going. I suppose the recording and playing on Trans:Mission sounds a little too rough to their ears nowadays.
I've always been a little surprised by their position on bootlegs. Especially with their reputation as a live band and the fact that they record their own material now, it would seem like just another form of promotion. Any way to distinguish themselves other than as the band that wrote "Wagon Wheel". *shrugs* |
