Saw these guys in Virginia Beach at the Jewish Mother. Good stuff. They definitely deserve some recognition and would be liked by OCMS fans. |

Man, I really regret missing them the other week. I had a ton of going on and that was the only night I could just chill and relax. Def let me know the next time they are coming around here, Pope! |

I realized all of a sudden that this is the band my roommate keeps listening to. They're awesome.
He also went to see them (and another old time band) one night, and didn't bother to wake me from a nap. He knows the rules now. Old time > sleep.
It's just math, man.
I am digging the dusty bible song, though it keeps putting the Hank Williams dusty bible song in my head instead. |

Oh yes! These guys are as awesome live as I thought they'd be!
We saw both the shows in Stirling and Edinburgh and had a blast! A shame there weren't more folk coming out to see them.
Great musicianship and their harmonies were spot on. They seem to have such fun and energy playing!
They're playing another date in the South West of Scotland tonight before heading over to Ireland to play some more gigs and record some stuff they've written with the Henry Girls. They really sound excited about these songs, so am looking forward to hearing them.
Thankfully, they're playing another gig in Glasgow before they're off home again |

Hmmm, you could always go all the way to Letterkenny for tomorrow night's show and set off early on. Then you'd have all Sunday to get back.... (If you're off at the weekend, that is).
Definitely highly recommend going to see them live!! |

Sooo, the lovely Fox Hunt lads are making their way back across the pond, once again teaming up with the Henry Girls:
Fri Jan 14: Celtic Connections, Glasgow
Thurs 20: Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon
Fri 21: McGrory’s, Culdaff
Sat 22: Nesbitt Arms, Ardara
Sun 23: Black Box, Belfast
Thurs 27: Raheen House Hotel, Clonmel
Fri 28: Seamus Ennis Centre, Naul
Sat 29: Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny
Sun 30: Sandino’s, Derry
Looking forward to at least the Celtic Connections gig! And am curious to hear what the band will sound like after Matt K.'s departure (he's been replaced by Darrin Hacquard).
Stu - are you anywhere near Clonmel? If so, try and go along. It's meant to be a superb venue and the hosts are great!! |

I have no idea! Loudon, the guy who books them, also books folk like Pokey, The Wilders, The Wiyos, The Hot Seats etc, etc, and they usually play up and down the country, so maybe it's cos they're doing the gigs with the Henry Girls (who are from Culdaff, Ireland)??
I'm sure there's plenty of folk in England who would love them too...hmmm...maybe they'll come back later in the year and tour the rest of the UK as well?? Fingers crossed!! |

Just seen these guys again at Celtic Connections and over in Ireland and they were superb as always! New boy Darrin Hacquard fits in really well and ably replaces Matt Kline.
They're playing another few dates in Ireland and are then off home to embark on their next tour. Go see them if you can, their shows are such a good time!!
They're still looking to fill the dates in Nashville and Memphis, so if anyone's got any ideas, you can let them know at thefoxhuntband@gmail.com.

Darrin Hacquard!!! He is quite possibly one of my favorite people that I have ever met. He played a solo show at a festival that I often attend. It was in a tiny one room schoolhouse (not the entire festival, just his set). My tent was within spitting distance of said schoolhouse. Darrin's set was at 9:30, or some awful morning hour. That morning I awoke to Darrin singing Loretta Lynn's Honky Tonk Girl.
Later in the day we were hanging out and I got to snap this...

Oh, that's such a cool pic Bean! Aye, he's a lovely guy! All the lads from TFH are some of the nicest fellas around. He fits in well
Is that the Nelsonville Festival you're talking about? I've seen pictures of him playing in that schoolhouse, if that's indeed the festival you mean. What a cool venue! That must have been so much fun to get to hear him play there!! |
