<  Live  ~  Old Crow OPENING for the Avett Brothers?!??!

Old Crow joining The Avett Brothers for 2 shows

We are excited to announce two shows with The Avett Brothers this year.

5/17 - Alpharetta, GA @ Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre

7/6 - Morrison, CO @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Both shows on-sale Jan. 18th. Red Rocks pre-sale on Jan. 15th. More info soon.


Have to admit I was surprised to see Old Crow was
opening for the Avett Brothers. Though I guess their wording is "supporting" the Avett Brothers. What does that mean??

Friends, if you wanna get on these shows, better sign up for the Avett Brothers fan newsletter so you can get the pre-sale code. Doesn't look like any pre-sale love for the Old Crow fans.

it puts OCMS in an 8000-seater that also happens to be a musical national treasure and a 12000-seater. Both of these shows are guaranteed sell-outs. Avetts are steadily getting further established in national radio airplay. I'd say these are very good things for the OCMS boys. That Red Rocks is gonna be a HOT ticket.

EDITED TO ADD: I would definitely consider this a co-headlining show, rather than calling OCMS the opener

I'd like to hope that the shows will be good for those of you who feel inclined to buy tickets.

Personally, I think the Avetts SUCK and I will not be there. Better get your tix before Hootie makes an Old Crow groundswell of Wagon Wheel fans come out! Laughing

It doesn't help that they are playing Knoxville and Nashville before and after their Atlanta show with Old Crow. Plus it's on a Friday. Drat!

I don't really have strong feelings about the Avetts one way or the other. I like a couple tunes. Just so long as Old Crow focuses on their craft and stays quality, I think the more exposure the better!

We were able to get two tickets through the Old Crow pre-sale and two from the Avetts. Now we just need two more and our traveling company will be set!

I didn't buy the tickets, but my beau said he had to refresh several times during the Old Crow pre-sale before there were tickets available. Good thing he is persistent!

It does take persistence.... that is for sure. Glad you all got the tickets. Sad I will miss this one but at least getting that way a month later!!!

I got tix to ATL but not Red Rocks. It would have been awesome to go back to Red Rocks but I think we are gonna drive from Seattle to San Diego for this Summer's road trip. Might as well see some new parts of the country that we haven't been to.

That would be great if they streamed the Red Rocks show, tho!

If I had a request for a song for them to collab on, it would be The Grand Coulee Dam
