It was great to see OCMS live again after a three-year drought. It was a fun show, and the crowd seemed into it - a lot of people were singing along. Sharp harmonies throughout. Good energy.
There was definitely a strong element of camp to some of the show (especially Leopard-Skin Pillbox Hat), but I thought it was okay for this material. Ketch told an amusing story about Gill meeting Bob Dylan, with Critter dramatically re-enacting the role of Bob.
You Ain't Going Nowhere, which has been played at encore during this tour, was switched out for Midnight Rider, because of Greg Allman's recent death. Well-received by the crowd. I believe Cory took lead for most of it. |
