Looks like this will be a recurring thing from Ketch. I'm actually planning to be in town to see this. Is anyone else planning to go, or anyone in the know with more information about what this'll be? |

Really enjoyed this! Played a whole set of old-time fiddle tunes with a backing band. I’ll post a set list and some thoughts later.
If anyone is in town, it’s worth going to one of the future shows. |

“Train on the Island”*** Ketch – fiddle (Different arrangement from prev OCMS versions)
“Say Darlin’ Say”*** Ketch – fiddle
Traditional fiddle song*** Ketch – fiddle
“Oh My Little Darlin’”*** Ketch – fiddle
Elzic's Farewell*** Ketch – fiddle

**with Molly Tuttle on guitar and Emily Mann on bass
***with full band (Molly Tuttle - guitar, Emily Mann - bass, Maya Devitry - fiddle, Wilhelma Frank-Zerda – banjo)
This excludes the 30 minute set from Maya Devitry that started the night. The 25-minute set of old-timey material that ended the night was so great. They did "Oh my little darling" which is the song that OCMS played for Doc Watson when he found then busking in Boone.
I'm gonna try to figure out the specific fiddle songs they played that I'm just not familiar with. |
