true...true! but at least before you mentioned it, I could pretend it wasn't!
Oh...and just to keep to the thread (seeing as I don't think I'd answered the actual question) my fave original song is probably either Caroline or We're All in This Together. I didn't used to like it very much until I saw them do it live after meeting the guys and hanging out with Willie and it was just the perfect end to a perfect festival that I was very nearly in tears! I think it is deffinately a song better suited to being played live rather than on the cd! |

Strange. This has been my favorite song, along with the rest of the songs on troubles up and down the road at the top of my favorites list as well. It's funny that alot of us have the same favorite song when there are so many songs to choose from. It's really just a great song. I've heard some other peoples versions, and alot of times they are instrumental. You know alot of old crow medicine show songs use the same basic chords. I think what makes everything great is their voices. The chords in Wagon wheel are the same as in Big Sciota and Lonesome Road Blues. |
